The “Wand” aids in the delivery of painless injection in two ways; first the Wand weighs a fraction of a typical metal syringe allowing the injector to navigate through tissue without bumping into painful bone or tendon. Second the Wand affects the rate of injection by delivering the anesthetic very slowly at first until the tissue is numb. The last factor is temperature.
